A few months in and there has been some good progress on the identification of specimens being collected by project volunteers. The latest distribution nearly covers the entire ‘Merseyside BioBank’ area, North Merseyside. In total the project now has specimen backed records for 48 quadrants (5km by 5km squares) and where only really a few months in!
This alone makes me hopeful that we will reach out primary goal of every 5km by 5km square having been sampled in during the initial 3 years of the project. Not least because there are still a large number of specimens still to be identified!
The progression atlas can, as always, be found here: https://www.activenaturalist.org.uk/meso/atlas/
Any problems, just give me a shout!
